Is it possible for the power steering rack to make noise from the car going up and down? even when the car is off? Theres a wierd noise comin from the front end and i went to flush out the power steering today and when i turn the wheel to the right it makes a loud annoying noise, that sounds about the same as when the right side of the car is pushed up and down? any ideas guys? the car has about 110,000 on it. thanks- Bobby

your steering rack will not make a sound when it stopped. your car has to turn for your steering rack to make a sound.
if you turn the wheel with no power steering fluid it will make an odd sound due to and empty pump.
if you turn the wheel with no power steering fluid it will make an odd sound due to and empty pump.
