Over all It's a very fun car so far havent turned the boost up all the way up on it yet can't wait for that:) but I couldn't be happier with the turbo after finally enjoying it for the first time this year

Nice, is that an on3performance turbo kit on there? How do you like it? and what kind of numbers you put down.... The setup looks clean.

no it's hellion upgraded kit im not a fan of on3 but I love it couldn't be happier with hellion and precision I put up well over 600rwhp on a 4.6 SOHC I'm hoping to squeeze out 700rwhp when I get my new intake and retune at the end of summer

not sure if you have shared this before but what all are the specs. on your car?

Well my car was fully rebuilt last year to handle over 1000rwhp reliable but I didn't have enough cash to get 4v heads and a few other things :( fully built bottom end, trans, rear, fully upgraded turbo 74trim dual ball bearing dual billet wheeled. stock heads and stock intake. it's impressive for being a 2v for the time being

what kind of turbo kit did you order?
well even if your making from 450-550rwhp it will be very fun. spooling the turbo is the thing I enjoy the most :)

I ordered the new front facing on3 kit with the upgraded 67MM ball bearing turbo.

Hoping I dont run in to any big issues but it seems like this new front facing kit is solid and most people can get it together without an issue. I may end up replacing the wesategate and the v clamps depending on how it goes together but im prepared to deal with it.

The motor and fuel system should handle the power but im worried about the transmission. Its a built 4r70w but I dont know if the drum has been upgraded and its just running the better hardened shaft....JR built it and he told me a while ago that it should be goof for 600 ft lb at the tire but id rather not push it....at least not anytime soon.

Im gonna have to see what the torque figures look like cause im kind of worried about that big hit of torque when the turbo first spools. Im running the edelbrock victor jr manifold, stg 3 ported pi heads, and hp292 cams so it should make a good bit of power on low boost.

Hopefully the setup will actually help level out that torque and keep it from spiking too hard since id really like to keep the torque figure around 550 for peace of mind.

Oh nice Justin that's good thing your keeping issues in your mind and being prepared for it more than likely you will run into something. with your trans if your not to sure about don't take the risk and break something after you got done building your car cause I took a risk a few years ago pushing 11psi on my stock motor with a procharger and made 440rwhp and blew it up in 3months I was disappointed but I was told not to push out that kind of power but I did anyway lol.

Good luck with your car Justin ill be sure to keep track if you make a build thread for it

Yea, I hear ya man...I ran 10-11 psi with my vortech setup for years before I got greedy and put that edelbrock intake on and revved it a bit higher, hitting 12-13 psi.

Went from 385 to 440 rwhp and chipped a few pistons up

It happens when you push it....

I think the 600 at the wheels is a "safe" number from him though....so im assuming it can probably handle more but I still cant afford to break this trans in a week. lol

Would be nice to see 550/550 but it seems like the turbo cars like to make big torque so it may end up being 500 rwhp/ 550 tq

With mine making 440rwhp I over reved it of course and broke a front main rod baron and scattered through my block and destroyed my block :( your right it happens and it sucks ass. it will be a shame of you break your trans with in a week after getting your car done that would be very aggravating just play it safe and enjoy it man then later down the road have your trans looked at then have it up graded a little more and push your car harder.

Yea, thats what im going to do...I will wait a while before I turn it up.

I just think it will handle 600/600 no problems....ive heard that after you start crossing that 700 barrier you start twisting drums and breaking shafts.

Defiantly depends on the car, and on the driver. I have seen a bolt on cobra twist input shafts on street tires two weekends in a row, then I have seen a stock world class t-5 hold up to 600 hp for almost a year of daily driving (and a little abuse). There driving styles where completely differant though.
