I just bought an o/r bbk h pipe and was curious to see if there is anything that i can do to prevent rusting? I know stainless steel is the way to go but couldn't afford them so please don't tell me that...lol

Thanks

don't let it get wet

ceramic coating is about it... as long as it is aluminized it shouldn't rust too bad

if you slam the suspension you can keep it rubbed off as you drive
or find some hi temp paint, but that might still flake off of the aluminized coating

Summit has some paint that works ok... But honestly, it won't rot out for years and years, and when it does, it'll do it from the inside anyway.

J.R. is dead on... your not going to have to worry about rust for years... I know this, from experience... unless you live in an area of a high concentration of SALT.

Could always coat it with some paint, VHT works very well. Like these guys are saying though it's probably not worth worrying about unless you drive the car in a salty winter.
