just started this week. I thought it was due to me forgetting to put the car cover on, and it was pouring rain out, but i dont know. When i start it up it has a really rough idle and almost stalls out (did one time), after i let it warm up it still has the rumpy sound to it, then i drive it and it kind of goes away but you can tell it doesnt sound the same (off by a little). Then after driving it sounds good, but the check engine light is on. I dont know what it could be, i just replaced the spark plugs 2 weeks ago, and the ignition wires were installed over the summer.

It actually sounds like a mis fire, have you double checked all the wires are on tight? No water in any of the holes?

how do i know if water got in the holes? those holes stretch down pretty far, or just clean the plugs off?

Well, when mine ran like you described, it was from water from a cracked heater tube on the intake leaking water into the number 7 spark plug hole and fouling it out. The same could have somehow happened to you in the rain, or the rain may just be a coincidence. But if the motor is cold, just pull each wire, and wrap a rag around a screwdriver and poke it down there. When you put the wires back on, make sure that you push down pretty aggressively on them, until you feel the pop, it's pretty easy to get them so they look like they are on, but really aren't quite there.
