I am trying to get my 95 Mustang GT to start by writing new tuning parameters to the EEC using a Tweecer. To be safe I ordered a base tune from Tweecer. I would like to find out whether the car is sees the new tune, because it still floods when I try to start it (the same as with the factory settings). The main problem is getting 42# injectors to work (needed with the blower I have installed).
I installed CalEdit on my laptop and was able to write the new tune to the Tweecer on position 2 (connected to the EEC with the car turned off). I then restarted my laptop and read from the Tweecer set at position 2, and I verified that the new tune in CalEdit (I checked parameters such as the injector slopes for the larger injectors).
I then turned on the ignition without cranking the car, set the Tweecer to position 1 and verified that ther was comuniction with the EEC by reading the stock settings froim the EEC (I now see the stock settings on position 1).
I then tried to start the car with the Tweecer set at 2. The car floods and will not start. I checked the spark at one of the plugs and fuel pressure at the rails. The timing is set at 10deg, the pressure is ok and there is spark delivery. The only thing that comes to mind is that the EEC is for some reason using the stock perameters.
Am I doing something wrong, and the new paramters are not being read by the EEC ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
