lol I was just in bloomington Thurs night. I'm in North Pekin.

Who you take your stuff to around here? I had Mullvain Motorsports do these heads. The other motor I have right now (2v build) was done by Jon Carls (JDC Engineering) and from what I've seen so far he does damn good work....but same here, my money won't be going to MMR anymore.

Very cool. Maybe I'll see you at a show in the area sometime.

I had Mullvain Motorsports do my heads and shortblock. I have a personal friend that has made massive power with a few of their motors (he's one of those people that seems to do a totally different setup every winter) and they were real staright shooters when I first contacted them about doing the work. Plus they're local so any issues can be taken care of with a face to face conversation, not arguing via PM or on the phone with some random joe blow at a shop across the country. The price was very reasonable and I'm pleased I went with them.

A good friend of mine here in Bloomington just picked up his shortblock for his 2v from John Carls. He seems to come pretty highly regarded.

Miss.mod you know painting your motor black makes it THAT much harder to find leaks down the road. Remember brand new builds do leak here and there.
