I finally was able to relieve my brother of our late mothers 1996 gt convertible. He had all intentions to fix it to be road worthy but life got in the way. Luckily for me I have it now and I can store it inside. It's not in terrible shape but it does need of a new top and back glass and has a crack in the intake manifold among a few other things. I have a pi intake for it just looking for heads now. I'm not looking to make high hp. I just feel I should change parts out for performance while I'm there. I've got the interior ripped out that is going to come out for now and I have the black carpet to put in along with a pair of sparco seats. I'm going to dye the plastics white and black to go with the outside. Here's some pics to start with more to follow soon.

Welcome to the site. Sounds like you have your work sorted out for you. My condolences about your mother. She has good taste! Mustang GT and a stick shift, thats awesome. Life unfortunately throws a lot of curve balls but you work with what ya got. There's a lot of helpful people on here if you need anything. Good luck with the build!

Yes 18x9 in the front 18x10 out back. I'm thinking the seats will look great with the top down. They were grey/black originally the guy I got them from died them all black and I've touched them up back to close to new.
only issue I can't decide on is heads to go pi or not.

Isn't it just amazing how fast you can take the entire interior out of these cars?

My wife flipped out when she came in the garage to see my seats and all the panels out of the car when I was running new speaker wires

Yeah all interior specially in this vert came out fast and except drivers seat the electric motor was dead made it more of a challenge lol.
yeah I wasn't sure if I wanted white interior but I knew I didn't want solid black but maybe I will after the white dont become what I invision.

Been working on the vert very lil lately but been tracking down parts for the pi swap. I picked up some bbk shorty headers to go ahead and put on maybe I'll find the exhaust here soon too. Hopefully get the pi stuff on in about 2 weeks. Did finish the dash just gotta put rest back together here's a shot of passenger side though.

Jealous of the B/W interior, peanut butter's OK but kind of limits my exterior paint choices more. Glad to see another vert, have fun working on it!
