Proper Motor Break In

I planned on running the motor with regular motor oil for only about an hour or less, then changing it to make sure I have no metallics

Then put in synthetic for about 500 miles, then change it again. Does this sound ok? should I run regular motor oil longer, not at all, or what?

changing oil is an internet myth....I haven't changed mine in over 2 years and 20k miles and its fine.... :crazy2:

my oil is still stock from the factory. i think of it as wine, it betters with age.

that is how i did my motor break in. worked great for me. i bought the parts store oil and filter for the
reg. oil change, then on to the expensive stuff!

I religiously change my oil and filter every 3000 miles
