does anyone know whats the PYPES xpipe carb number?? i live in california, and the test only guy is tripping about my cats, he said i need to have four of them....

they dont show any CARB EO numbers on their website....give them a call to see if their stuff actually is CARB compliant?

this is off pypes website: Pypes cats and catted X-pipes will pass most states emmissions testing proceedures. However, check your local and state ordinances for installation and usage regulations.

I think this means no, because CA is the most strict state. What year is your car? Mine passed with only 2 cats...

yes u need to have 4 cats to be legal. take it too another smog guy that doesnt notice that.

That's correct. Also, there is no off the shelf CARB exempt X or H pipe for Mustangs.

take it to another shop, and don't tell them about the x pipe. Try to get the mechanic to concentrate on the parts in your engine bay, and make sure you have paperwork for all other parts...Good Luck

Do that or go buy two magnaflow cat's, which by themselves DO carry a CARB E.O. number.
