okay all, im looking for an opinion and experience. After i fix my exhaust (rusted/rattles/leaks/old), i plan on going for a tune. I have a Short ram intake, 70mm tb/plenum, 3.73 gears, and hopefully soon to be a new/used full exhaust. Now what kind of tune should i go for? some say Dyno, some say Handheld. Let me know what you think.

I have a hand held DiabloSport Predator that I used on my cobra and it worked fine.

i only suggest a custom tune if #1, you plan on never changing anything else any time soon. #2, you have heavy mods (boost, juice, etc.) #3, you live in a high altitude state like CO.

I've seen a 2005 OEM GT gain 16 RWHP from a custom tune in Ft Collins, CO. ... that $400.00 could have gone to an intake, TB, plenum, and exhaust with less gains.....

btw.... a "handheld" tuner is still needed to do dynotuning.

but email tunes will be fine for what you have. no need to really spend the money on dynoing until you go FI or have a built motor

With that small list of mods, I'd just go handheld. However, I would make sure you remember to correct your speedo after the gear change.

X2 I always used SCT products. The handheld is easy to use.

the new Diablo InTune tuner is a very nice product. Easy to use and update. And compatible with PCs and MACs

otherwise yes the SCT devices are some of the best and easiest to use.

So yes, get email tuned. Shouldnt be called "handheld" as the damn devices are "handheld" and even if you get dyno tuned you still need a device.......
