Question between 2 flywheel choices

So I already purchased a McLeod RST twin disc clutch for my 2003 Cobra.
I also already purchased a SPEC Aluminum flywheel for it (still in the box).

When I removed my old clutch and flywheel assembly recently, I found that I have a RAM 1545 billet steel flywheel already in place!

So now I have to decide if I just get the RAM resurfaced and put it back in, or go ahead and put in the SPEC Aluminum one.
Luckily, I can return the SPEC if I decide not to use it and get a refund.

Thoughts?

I'd go aluminum since that's they come with factory. I got a 03 cobra one and sent it to McLeod they put a new heat shield on it. I love it $200 total

03-04 Cobra flywheels are nodular iron from the factory- cuts down on road noise. I run a Fidanza billet aluminum one and love it. The engine seems to rev faster than the steel one and it saves around 4 pounds of rotating mass. I would put the Spec one in, if you don't like it you can resell it

Ive have an aluminum flywheel from an 03-04 cobra. Not positive which year. Ford part #'s too. Ill try to remember pics

I would say aluminum based on my experience with my 95 GT. It certainly feels like it wants to rev a little quicker, and I haven't noticed any downsides to having the alu. flywheel. I assume it would be a similar experience in your Mustang.

I sold the RAM billet steel flywheel and my old/removed RAM clutch kit on SVTP this week!
So SPEC Aluminum and my McLeod RST clutch are destined to be together in the car soon! LOL.
