question for u 4.6 guys... bout motor

hey everyone, i was wondering if anyone would know if a motor (4.6) from a 95 grand marquis is the same as a 4.6 in a 96 stang???
i see the intake is different,but what bout the rest??
-shortblock
-heads
-accesories
-any info would be great,

The 95 Grand Marquis still has the non-PI cylinder heads.
I belive the only difference is the tune in the ECU and the
fact that it has a automatic transmission and of course the
intake manifold is different.
It should be a direct fit but,you will probably have to use
the ECU and wiring harness from the Grand Marquis.
I would pass on it though.

I just picked up a 02 grand Marquis PI motor and trans for next to nothing- with everything I've read there the same as the Mustang Pi engines just needs tuning to get into the mustangs hp range- nut when wouldn't you geta tune after going full PI?

Might want to lookin that direction.
