quick break question

i need to replace brake rotors only, and to save some time i was gonna ask you guys if it was okay to take the bracket off only instead of the caliper itself? (just leaving the caliper in the bracket). didnt know if this was okay to do so i figure i would ask, thanks.

yea you can do that still goin to have to push the pads/piston back in on the caliper though to get it over the new rotor....

Yeah just use your old pads and a c clamp and get it in the center and crank away and the piston is back in the caliper. Then pull off the rotor and have it turned and your set install new pads and bingo brake job done.

keep in mind you will need to replace the pads also, or they will never seat correctly and the brakes will never stop as good as they could...

And if your old pads have grove marks then you could transfer those groves into the new rotors
