so i raced my buddy's 05 wrx auto boosting 20 with no tune. i walked right pass him. we are gonna race again after he gets it tuned

whoa whoa slow down on the haten. lol my mistake i just noticed in my sig that i didnt update it to show that i have a hci setup. tired to take a video of it but the quality wasnt that good. when we redue the race i will post a video

well to straighten this out, the factory boost level is set at 13.5 BUT-

STOCK TURBO-
Max safe boost : 17 psi
max safe over-boost : 19 psi (short term , under 5000 rpm)
Engine hits fuel cut if you hold 19 psi until past 5000rpm

The T-25 can handle 20 psi structurally for VERY short periods of time.


part of it is BSing if hes running the stock turbo, but when your already at 13.5-14psi, 20 isnt THAT much more

dont know what to tell you guys but his cars boost gauge read 20. his cr is all stock with a catback exhaust, cai, and bigger blow off valve. either way im happy. definitly wanna get a better video of it next time.

factory gauges are typically off.... like i said, that turbo will not boost to that steadily

It was also untuned, so that will make a difference.... :dontknow: Plus if the kid in wrx can't launch he would have a nice advantage, because awd is pointless after your off the line

I raced against a brand new stock 2009 wrx on the highway and he beats me of a car....

I have a 94 gt with, BBK cold air intake,pulleys,taylor wires,pro 5 short shifter,bbk headers,bbk o/R X pipe, flowmaster catback...

so it's possible with a H/C/I setup against an untuned wrx...

Well my buddy has a WRX and off the line they're pretty good but I noticed it has crap for high end and as soon as that b!tch hit 65 MPH is drags ass, but it's only a WRX.
