Rattling sound.

I keep forgetting to post this because I havn't really gotten on the throttle since I had the trans rebuilt, but I did tonight.

When I get on the throttle specificly at WOT, I get this weird rattling noise. I thought it was the idler pulley so I replaced it. However it still does it. Any suggestions.

Could be anything really... need more info. Here's hoping its not rod knock. Does it get louder as you go up in the RPM range? Is it like a banging or clunking or what?

What is your timing set at?

Gets alittle louder but its not a huge difference. Once it starts it stays about the same. But it's really at WOT. Timing is still stock

What octane gas do you use? and it could prolly be your time?

yeah man it could be anything, maybe exhaust rattle? where does the sound come from, underneath the hood, floor?

Does it sound like a penny in a pepsi can? That's pinging.

I'll try an get a more accurate discription of the sound. It kind of sounds more like a crackle. Not so much a penny in a can. It is coming from under the hood. However if the car is idling and I give it gas I hear nothing.

Yeah, especially if there is people in the car. My car doesn't seem to like more then two people in the car.

sounds to me like pinging, check the timing if thats good try to step up to a higher grade of gas or changing to a different station
