I have the Mach 460 and I was wondering what is under(or really above) the black plastic 'cover' in the trunk? I have a sub box in there and I am thinking of putting an L bracket into the box then a short screw into the plastic. Am i in danger of drilling into wires or whats under there?

there are some speaker wires and the wires for the rear brakelight, but not much really. I have my subwoofer enclosure hanging from the rear deck and was able to use existing holes that were in the car and some bolts. I currently have the rear deck removed to build it into something that looks better then the mach jellybeans that stick up and could get a pic of it when it gets back from the body shop if you want.

He is correct. I used to have it in my car as well but I took it out. When you drop it out you'll see that it houses your existing Mach Speakers. Although some say that if you remove it to place new speakers in your car, since you will be firing into an open trunk you will loose some mid/low, usually people who are going to go through the process of a sound upgrade, not only upgrade to a more quality speaker, but also add a subwoofer, like you are. The only downside of removing that thing was finding an alternative to securing my box.
