Use a hand pump,syringe or funnel to fill the differential housing with the specified lubricant untill it is level with the bottom of the plug hole.

does that mean that I should jack the car up so that its level?

Yes, with the rear end level.... fill it until the filling hole begins to overflow... as previously stated this should be between 2-3 quarts.....Pretty easy too figure out!! Make sure to use something with a friction modifier, RP, ETC. or add Friction modifier!!!!

2.85 quarts. use royal purple with FRPP friction modifier.
