would it be better to build a 306 or 331 i have h/c/i already its not a daily driven car maybe twice month to work i just want little more power i also have nos just a 1oo shot

Are you planning on using a stock block, or buying an aftermarket (such as Dart, Boss, etc..) The effort put into tearing it all down, machine
work, etc... doesn't really seem worth it with a stock block, that may not be able to handle a 330ish RWHP car before the spray.
snatch a Boss block, pop that thing out to 331+ cubes, then spray the piss out of it.

The 306 kit will be cheaper. The 331 kit will make more power, but cost more. Either way will be fine for what you're doing, and will handle the 100 shot with no problems.

A stock block will be fine for what you're doing.

I would just do something like a 306ci that is 10 or 10.5:1 and spray it.

Also, your heads may not be suited for a 331. What heads do you have?
