I want to remove the CD player from my Mach 460 system in a 96 gt, when I remove the connectors to it the audio goes away and it's only a preamp level signal to the speakers. Is there a jumper or something? Thanks

Not sure what part is unclear, I don't want my CD player any more. If I just unplug the CD player from the head unit, the whole system stops making sound. I want sound haha

No stereo = no sound

= no shit lol

There are two single din units. Head unit (radio and cassette) and CD player. As I understand it there were sn95s sold without cd. Just cassette and radio. I want to take out the CD player din unit so I can put a switch panel in its place. Not sure why this is so complicated to explain

I never pulled a cd player out with out pulling the tape deck out before so that is a new one to me. I am pretty sure I remember the back of the standard mach decks having a plug in the same spot that the cd hrns was in though so I would not be surprised if it had some pins in it to let the sound go through. Are you sure that you maybe are not bumping the small/square signal cable from the back of the deck at the same time you are removing the cd players hrns? You can always throw a cd player in really easily the mach system is not a problem to integrate into.

I know what you want to do. Me and my friend did it to his 98. There should be 4 plugs. Two male two female that are square. You need to in plug them and switch them a round if I remember right. We put in a new dash and we removed the bottom CD player at that time. I hope this can help you.
