there is a plug that needs to be on the back of the radio if the cd player is not used. You would have an easier time finding a new aftermarket radio or just replacing it with an aftermarket. It is easy to do, don't let anyone else tell you differently.

It'd be easier to get an aftermarket cd player. Does it have the stock tape player then (with the cd removed) or is it a separate stereo that will work with the cd add on?

Radio with a tape player. The radio is not used that often. I love the sound of the car, but not having one is not an option. Just trying to keep it stock. Thought I could just unplug the CD and that would be that........
