Removing SN-95 headlights

I am struggling to remove the drivers side headlight. Removed the retaining clip, and trying to depress the little clippy thing with a box end wrench to pop out the headlight. I am using a box-end wrench to depress the clips. Tried 2 different 12 mm, 2 different 11mm as well as 7/16 and 1/2. No joy 12mm doesn't press the fingers enough, and 11mm doesn't slide far enough down on the clip.

Anyone have an alternate method?

I always used a rachet bit to push it out but I can't remember the size.
