Replaced headlight switch now dash lights wont work

Replaced headlight switch dashlights worked for a day no they wont. Any ideas getting really annoyed over a silly problem.

did you check your fuses? no I do not know which one and would recomend checking them all as you might find it is the defroster fuse that blew and is keeping the dash from working. Don't forget the fuses under the hood.

pulled the dash apart some of the wires from the headlight pigtail fell out and blew the dash fuse. Got everything fixed.

anytime you have something electrical that shuts off and will not turn on, start simple and check teh fuses.
