Honestly, I haven't ran anything with NASA yet. I know my raw times can get me on podium in TT3, but that's because there are usually only like 3-5 people in that class. My goal is to hone the car for just having fun, and if it falls into a class conveniently, I'll run that too. I was never really preoccupied with building for a class, so my car is kind of a mishmash of parts I liked, and doesn't really fall in anywhere neatly. I am planning on investing into telemetry later this year, so finally start working on putting together that lap. I've come to a conclusion that trying to faster based on "feeling" and laptimes only visible after the session without sector splits is just wasting time for me.

What has helped me most in finding weak areas and what parts of the car I need to modify/adjust is lead follows with an instructor. I have the good fortune of having two different driving style instructors that either own or drive am SN95 on track and also having competition that drive them with different setups. I picked up almost two seconds on a 1.6 mile track while having an instructor in my car and then following him around. That was with Trackmasters app helping with sector times as well. Side note, does your racing seat have a bottom pad? I removed mine and it has been a great telemetry device.

The seat has a cushion that can be removed, but not separately from the rest of the padding, so that means that I lose back and knee support. I'd rather keep that in. I'm going to borrow my friend's QStarz for next track outing in month and a half. I'll evaluate it, and see if that really helps me improve my laptimes by running first session without it, and the rest with it in place and collecting / outputting data real time.

Some light pretrack maintenance coming my way. I'm going to change the thermostat and upper radiator hose. My previous radiator was shifted a bit to the driver side to clear the ABS block, so I had to shorten the upper hose to avoid it from kinking and limiting the flow. Ron Davis radiator is located like a stock one and is probably wider than stock still, so I've ordered Motorcraft upper hose, along with a Stant 180 F thermostat. Hopefully no hose modification will be required.

Another thing I'm contemplating about is switching from Canton Road Race Oil Pan to FRPP Road Race Oil Pan. I've been doing some reading and it seems that Canton is not very good at keeping the oil pressure stable under heavy braking, which I have noticed in a few corners, pressure dropping to about 20 psi. Ford Racing pan is supposed to be much better, not to mention that it's doesn't have a T-pan rear sump design, which means that I can remove my clutch cable relocation bracket, and run the clutch cable as it did before through bellhousing. The pan is not cheap however, with its own specific pickup, runs about 600 dollars through Summit.

Stuff that works really well usually isn't cheap. Even my Canton pan was like 400 dollars with the pickup, and I thought that was good enough at the time. If you wanna see something fun, look up dry sump kits. That will really make your head spin.

Just got the notification in mail that my custom plates are in the DMV. Going to pick them up wednesday morning... very excited. I've been scoping this custom plate for years, and when it finally was available, I jumped right on it. I'll post pictures as soon as I get them.

I didn't even know you could still get the black and yellows anymore, thought it was only a limited time thing a few years ago. That being said, that's badass man haha

Oh yeah, black and gold is still very much available. I'm kinda considering getting a sequential one for the daily, but I dunno. Maybe being a little too impulsive at the moment.

Hmmmm, might have to get some of those should I ever register my car here. How much is it per year? If you get one for the daily I heard it adds 5 hp and 1 mpg

Lol, I'll be sure to keep that in mind. I think it's 50 dollars a year for the customized one, sequential ones may be cheaper.
