it is easy to add a ground strap to one of the bolts that holds the starter on motor(assuming you don't run longtubes). The starter is also the part that needs the voltage/current as much as possible.
Misfire finally resolved, it was the faulty coil that was causing it to break up above 5000 rpm. Tuning is resumed. This project isn't moving as fast as I would like, but there is a reason for it, and that's because it's done with a HUGE hookup in mind, which is why it's been on a back burner for the cars that actually bring in the income. Another slight snag was that 5th gear let go during the test drive, but that turned out to be the snap-ring, which is apparently a common issue, but it's new for me.
Update: 91 octane tune is finally complete. The car now makes 383 rwhp at 6100 rpm and 387 rwtq at 4300 rpm. The the car makes at minimum 300 rwtq from 2500 all the way to redline of 6500 rpm. For comparison, here is the old tune on stock ECU with SCT chip (in green) vs MS with new tune (in red)

Awesome numbers
My buddy who's tuning the car has spent a lot of time researching how to properly make the distributor equipped cars work well with stand-alone, especially when it comes to timing. This is easily the most power this has has ever made on pump, E85 numbers should be available soon.

Just to put in perspective how efficient this combo is for the outsiders . This was the first time I dyno’d my 95gt on 9 psi with a d1sc ,valve springs ended up needing to be replaced and the car picked up a ton of power .
Looking forward to the e85 results because that things a monster on pump gas , I’d love to have a combo like that.

I don't know how much more there's in it with E85. I'm hoping it will break the 400 mark, that would be splendid
Well, E85 tune is in. It didn't gain any more peak power, but it gained after peak, so instead of rolling over, the curve just stays flat all the way to red line. The car also runs cooler at wide open and E85 is about $2 a gallon cheaper than 91, so it's all a bonus. Getting the car back tomorrow, and Tuesday I'm scheduled to bring it for filming. I'll share more info, once I can
AutoX shakedown: Well, after something like 3 and a half years since last track day with Mustang, the car was back in action a few weeks back. I've decided to shake it down at a local autoX venue, which took place in Long Beach Harbor, if you can believe that. I've entered a very competitive CAM-T class, and expectations were pretty low, as I haven't driven the car in forever, and tires were very heat-cycled and just rock hard. Not surprisingly, I finished near the end of the field, but there were some upsides to the day, primarily that the car was reliable (right up until last run when ABS failed), and it was very easy to drive, even when I would intentionally toss it into a corner, forcing it to rotate. Now I've got a couple of things that need to be addressed, such as ABS not working and relocating the steering fluid reservoir so it can have more fluid and not starve itself under fast transitions. Planning to go back out there again soon, but as a treat, the session was broadcasted on YouTube, and I managed to find a clip of my best run.
Engine rebuild take 3. I kept blowing head gaskets, and after I've had the head machined, I've finally put a straight edge on the block and it's warped, it's got like a dip around cylinder 7 and 8 that's about 0.006" lower, so that's never going to seal. I've scored another donor block, and dropped everything off this morning at the machine shop. I've decided to do as much as I can myself this time around, so everything other than machine work. Hopefully I will get everything back in 2-3 months, and put it back together. In the meantime, I'm tackling other items and crossing them off the list.

What is the flow on the AFR heads
Those are regular street port AFR 185cc heads.
