Reverse Glow Gauges + Led bulbs questions

I have a couple of reverse glow gauges questions. First, I know the reverse glow gauges have their own leds built in, but what about the needles? Do the stock bulbs still light up the needles and the odometer and tripometer? And if so, what happens when you use colored led bulbs behing the RG overlays? Will it change the colors of the overlay or just the needles and my (analog) odometer and tripometer? Also, why do some pics ive seen of the RG gauge overlay come out like a light aqua kinda color and some pics ive seen come out as a darker blue? Is that just camera and lighting difference? And finally, can u use the chrome gauge bezels with the RG overlays? Ive searched many threads and found no specific answers to these questions.

the overlay will block all the light behind it. The needles are lit up by the little bit of light that they allow to pass through the center. Be sure to warm your car up and take a pic/mark where they all are at before you take the needles off.
