This is part of the reason why I like traffic light cameras. Most people hate them, but a lot of accidents tend to happen at intersections. Having cameras up would make incidents like this much more "cut and dry" vs all of the he said / she said.

But anyway... I really hope the insurance comes through on this. If they total out your car (which they will) you should look into buying it back for salvage value. There's still a lot of useful pieces on there you can take off and use/sell.

Hoping for the best. You're a great guy... everything will work out in the end. Hang in there.

Wow, That is an absolutely hard hit, I had this happen with my laser v6, Women that did not even witness the accident stopped and then proceeded telling the cops it was my fault when I was on a four lane road and T boned the dude because he came straight out of an side road.. Right... The cops threatened to arrest her after finding out she did not even witness the accident. Glad everyone is safe and sound, Car is so clean. Really a shame.

There are cameras at this intersection, but only a stream unfortunately. They aren't allowed to record yet because the supreme court hasn't ruled on it yet. I already asked :(

I would have no problem admitting fault. When I ruin stuff, I'm the first to say "yea, that was me" but I just don't believe that light was red. I was in the lane and it was green. There's 7 seconds from the time the light turns yellow to the time the other direction gets green. Even if on some chance I did run it, I would have been almost all the way out of the intersection by the time her light turned green. :(

There's a reason I towed the car home though. My last truck, the motor blew, I rebuilt a new one, put it on the road, and some kid totaled it the night I got it back on the road. Generally buy back is 10% so we will see what happens there.

She had "witnesses" show up about 20 minutes after the accident. The guy goes "well, everyone over there (her side) stories match up."

All I can think is "well yea, it's easy to solidify a lie when it takes two hours for the highway patrol to show up"

The only thing i can say to make you feel better is to start shopping.

Everything happens for a reason and now its time to get you a different car.

One door closes for another to open. Sometimes that closed door is a total slam in the face but when that next door opens it will all be worth it. I basically base my life off that and it seems to hold true so far

pleeeeease build another amazing v6 :)

I like the challenge of doing so. Found a non-running new edge for 500 last night. Paint looks like hell, but if I could swap my stuff to it and bring it to life, then just work to swap interiors and make it a lot nicer, it wouldn't be so bad. Save up, reupholster the front seats with TMI stuff, build a forged stroker, and boost it like hell, then ge the big cowl hood and paint it, and finish everything I wasn't quite done with :)

People came out of the woodwork on this one. People I didn't even know followed me on facebook coming out saying how much they had loved the progress and reading my stuff.

Motivation enough to do another one. But none will ever be just the same. None of the same little quirks mine had. I wanted to keep that car forever. I had vowed it so many times. =/

Everyone is here for you man. thats outrageously crazy you're not injured though.

Thanks guys :( Willis just gave me one of the best compliments too just a couple weeks ago. Finally had a car worthy. =/

All i can say is that you have the balls to build something unlike another. I'm sure you have something up your sleeve and i can't wait to see what it is!

Dude the thing I hated most about Florida was the no fault B.S. Twice my wife's car got hit by old people( one couldn't even see well enough to write on the exchange of info) and had to go through my own insurance. Best of luck and most important everyone is okay.

Man i am so sorry, I as well have followed this thread since the beginning.
But like every one has said id do a buy back.
There is a ton of worthy parts that can be saved and transferred over.
I like that idea you said about the 500 dollar roller, because you can transfer everything over.
Another thing.. i know this is kinda sore... but is your engine savable??
