For those of you who have ventured into the snowy death that is salted roads, any tips on getting rid of the salt? I want to damage the paint as little as possible but it sucks to remove....thoughts? I have thought about trying some CG bug bugger and tar remover but didnt know if it would help much?

When I used to dd a mustang i used a touchless car wash that sprays the underside off also to get the heavy stuff off, then i always pull into the garage and handwash it with buckets of water and soap, helps keep the garage floor clean too because I sqeegee (sp) after.

I really have no experience with salt but APC diluted to the correct ratio should REALLY help with cleaning.

i would try like APC 5:1.. Simple Green 5:1 takes stuff off hardcore. I have cleaned paint with simple green 1:1 and it didnt harm anything.

we have salt here.
Best to pressure wash it off first so you're not scrubbing it around much.
and if you seal/wax your paint it has a harder time sticking.

other than that, soap and water wash, dry and spray n gloss or the like.
