Here's what I have.

94 GT 302
GT40P heads
Stock rockers
Stock pushrods

I tightened the rockers down to the proper torque specs but I think I have a problem.

When the cylinder I am working on is at TDC (compression), is the rocker supposed to be able to move at all?

When I push down on it or try to jiggle it side to side it will move a little. Is that normal or should everything be tight?

May be a stupid question but I don't know.

Thanks

That sounds normal to me. When that cylinder is at TDC on the compression stroke, both valves should be closed, so there should only be slight tension on the pushrod - you should be able to push the rocker down a little bit where the pushrod is (you're compressing the inner part of the hydraulic lifter).

I don't think it's the lifter that's giving. I'll have to go back and check.
