S197 Gears?

i am planning on helping a friend at work do the gears on his 05 gt and need to know exactly everything i need.
the plan is for 4 10s. its a atomatic with the tracktion control.
so what do i need. i would like to order them through american muscle.

If you two have never installed & set-up a new gearset..... don't do it. Get someone with a lot of experience with this operation. It is a true artform. It can mean the difference between a gearset lasting 20K miles or lasting 300K+.

honestly, if you need to ask how to do it, then you shouldnt do it. have a shop install them.

actually ive done 3 a 98 gt, 99 v6, and 91gt
they all were cheked by a pro mechanic and none have gear whine

my question was more on the traction lock and control stuff. is it a a pain to deal with or not really. i dont know much about the s197.

i believe the Traction control is ABS controlled. so just be careful around the sensor. the T-lok shouldnt be any different than the ones in the two GT's you've already done. (except i think S197 have 31 spline axles and t-lok) but that wouldnt make a difference in installation.

Yes the 05 up is the same as the 04 down. As far as seting up the gears. The front pinion bearing is different but if you buy the kit for it it should come with all the right stuff. The 05 up does come factory with 31 spline axles and trac lock.
