I'm currently putting down 276/288 n/a. How much of a shot can I add to the motor and still not risk damaging the internals?

I might try a 75 shot on the dyno and see where that gets me...if I'm not satisfied with what that gets me, maybe I'll try a 100 shot, but I'll probably stick to the safe route.

One more thing, do you guys think that the plastic manifold will hold up well? I know I won't be spraying too much, but I'd hate to have that thing crack. I thought about getting that typhoon manifold as sort of an insurance policy, but I've read that thing is garbage for torque.

id get a metal one myself.. that plastic gets up to 200*F, then you shoot freezing cold N2O into it? bad idea...

id look into livernoise.

After seeing the hole I made in my plastic manifold after a regular (no nitrous) backfire I would look into the Typhoon

a 100 shot is safe just make sure you go ahead and upgrade your fuel pump if you haven't yet.. also get a tuner and a tune for it... that is the only way to be "safe" i've seen guys running more than a 100 shot before but it's just a time bomb lol

You should be able to run a 100 shot. Just make sure your runnging a wet kit.

As far as the intake goes you'll be fine as long as you:
A) dont backfire.
B) dont spray at idle.

I've been lookin into more aluminum ones, and unless I get that track heat one from trick flow (which I'm probably not going to do since I can't use my aftermarket upper intake and TB with it), I'll probably just put the regular PI intake on or go with the HPS hardball'r. I can't find any good news about that typhoon intake, so I might just want to stay away from it, unless I hear something good soon.

However, most of the people who are talking junk about that intake have stock cams I think. I'm trying to decide whether or not the 274's i have would help me out with that, since I would like to net a few hp on the intake swap (without spray) if i can.

BTW, I have to buy a new intake ( i haven't mentioned this yet i realized haha) the pi one cracked in the back where the coolant runs to the heater. so regardless of whether i do spray or not, I'll be buying a manifold :(

ok so here is the best way to setup your nitrous by far.. (I recommend drill and tapping into the plenum)

but run a wet kit (100 shot jet is safe, make sure you've upgraded your fuel pump cost like 89 bucks to do this) running a wot switch will make sure that only at wot are you spraying and then also i'd recommend getting the MSD Digital RPM switch. Combined with the wot switch the msd makes a pretty much fail safe setup. The msd allows you to set a start and end rpm that the switch is activated so even at wot inless you are in those rpms you wont spray. This is the way i had my system setup and never had any issues out of it... to each his own but imho that is a safe setup.. also get a nitrous pressure gauge :)

I didn't think those worked on our cars because of the different fuel systems, or is that just the cobra pump?

i'll post this picture yet again... lol

i should probably do a write up on this but since i'm not home and able to drop my tank for better pictures it's not that good.. but basically drop your tank and your fuel pump sits in the basket.. there are a couple screws but when you order the focus svt pump you'll get whats pictures below and it's pretty much exactly the same as our basket and i think i even used parts off the basket because mine was nasty lol

another good intake to think about is the one from edelbrock its like 399. you have to use after market rails but you would still be under the price of a track heat intake. holcomb motorsprts sells the adapter so can use stock location emissions stuff. I just bought one but have not had time to put it on yet. They make the intake in two versions carbed and for efi. they look identical. just another option
