She actually slides right on in and is just as easy to take out. Probably not so much with the top up, and even worse with a coupe since the rear quarter windows don't roll down.

The really cool part is that I had just taken her out of my husbands 5 series and she was all fussy and crying. Just to see if she'd fit with the speedster covers on, I put her in the mustang and she was so happy about it that she fell asleep. That's my girl. She knows which parent has the cool car.

That's awesome, I test fit my 4 month old today in the back of mine and if someone rides shotgun they're screwed because of how much the passenger seat needs to go forward for the baby seat to fit back there. Felt good knowing she can ride in the mustang too and not just my truck, also kinda funny that she pooped her pants from the ride. I would've never thought mine fit under my speedster cover though

^That fitting under the cover (besides the badass interior from a 197) is the most badass thing!

And LOL at your 4month old!! That's awesome not gonna lie

Cute!
It is a tight squeeze, but I' used mine for our daughter almost daily when she was little. Now that she's older, she LOVES riding in "her" Mustang.

When my daughter was first born years ago the only cars I had were my fox body mustang or std cab S-10 so I had to make the seat fit, then I wised up, dumped the s-10 and bought an SHO as my daily driver

My mom stuffed me and my brother into a camaro for the first 5 or so years when I was born.....it always cracks me up when people are like "we'll I had to get a van, ya know with the family" and I'm like uhhhh no I don't know.....we had the 87 camaro and an 85 monte ss till I was about 10.....and that includes going to our place in Ontario.....vans are a poor excuse for the slow slip into gooberness

I had a buddy that got an aerostar because it was all he could afford, he didn't need it for the family. He called in the "man van" and I can't complain too much about it as a group of us liked to go camping in the mountains as we could load ALOT of crap in that aerostar for a great weekend of camping.

Apparently you can haul a full size stroller with a car seat and baby bag. It's just a huge PITA. Not sure if this is possible in a coupe, but again, screw minivans! Downside is that I lose visibility as the side mirror is blocked.

I was able to fit a full size stroller in the trunk of my cobra coupe but thats all that will fit. I haven't tried the infant seat yet but I know my two year olds HUGE car seat fits forward facing.

so what happens when you give it gas? Does the seat just flop around?

I dont really floor it, or take corners sharp when shes with me, and if I did, I certainly wouldnt be watching her. But I did the shake test with her out, while it was parked. Seems ok. With the front seat, it pretty much stays where it needs to, which is a good thing, because I remember when my brother was her age, if my mother had to brake abruptly, his seat would just fly forwards and the fall over, with him dangling in the seat because her van had so much leg room. Of course, this was forward facing. I dont remember how rear facing was like.

Speedster cover actually only covers about half of the car seat (where her legs are), so shes pretty much exposed, but thankfully theres a folding bonnet thing that completely covers the rest of her, preventing sunlight exposure and wind. And yes, both her and the seat are buckled in.
