I have a 98, black leather. Every seat I find, including mine, has a soft driver seat outside bolster with crumbling foam. I'm told Ford glued the upholstery to the foam so there is no way to fix it, and nobody makes a replacement kit for the 98s. Passenger seats seem to be in a lot better shape. Suppose I take the upholstery with foam off the seat bottom off a nice passenger seat and install it in place of my worn driver seat bottom? Will that work?
i had the same problem with my 94. As a last resort I took it to a local upholstery shop and he fixed it for less than $100. He just replaced the bad part of the foam. Looks a feels like new.
Two black leather seats out of a 94 with tracks for $100, but the passenger seat bolster had a hole in it so I passed. Maybe I'll check with an upholstery shop like Boomer said...
