shift light with no instructions

I have a 94 cobra and want to put on a shift light but dnt knw how to wire it up. it is a perform shift light. there is a green black and red wire. i have the black one and red down obviously but where does green go?

I'm assuming a tach signal.. There should be an orange/white stripe wire in one of the plugs in the back of your cluster, I believe this is the tach signal.

Scratch that, it's orange and white at the PCM, at the CLUSTER it's tan/yellow stripe, atleast for 96-98 models.

When I installed a tach with shift light on my 92lx I ran the signal wire for the shift lite to the ignition coil. On my 97 I had to run it to the tach signal wire behind the gauge cluster.

be sure to test that wire before you connect. Test for ac voltage that goes up with rpm
