They look like they're in pretty good condition for the price

I'd say go for it :)

when you say there is a crack through the wheel spoke, you mean an actual through and through?
that doesn't sound too safe, although $200 for 4 wheels is a pretty good deal, you might as well consider
one of those wheels scrap, so you're down to 3 wheels for $200, and a new/used Cobra R will run around $120..
still roughly $320 for 4 wheels isn't too bad.

yeah the crack goes all the way through the spoke. but its barely visible until you get up close to it. its a really thin crack too like u could probably just fit a piece of paper through it. I already went out and looked at them and other than that there in remarkable condition and the chrome finish still looks really good with no rust. he use to have them on a 97 cobra about 8 years ago and when he bought the cobra with only 20,000 miles on it the wheels came as an extra. he then put them on that cobra for only about 2,000 miles and took them off and never used them again. they have been in his basement for 8 years. obviously they wouldnt just crack from sitting in his basement so he said that they must of been like that on the car and it drove perfect he said he had no problems...also i would probably put that wheel on the front of my car so it wouldnt take as much abuse. shouldnt it be fine? if not couldnt i weld it from the back of the spoke or something?

ive had a cracked wheel leave me stranded before. for an extra $100-200, you could get a decent set of wheels with tires. i wouldnt waste my money on those. its hard to tell by the picture, but they look pretty shitty anyway, and the fact that one of them is cracked, just makes me assume anyway that they are probably beat to hell.

i wouldnt be the least bit surprised if they are curb rashed like a mofo, and one or two of them are bent.

I bet the crack will be a lot more visible when the wheel falls off. Those wheels should not even be on sale.

You can take them to weldcraft wheels out in novi. They'll do all sorts of wheel repair for you. I picked up a set from my buddy and he did a curb job to one of them.... they quoted me at 100 to fix the wheel. Or do what I'm doing and get two 17x10 1/2's for the back =]

trust me they arnt shit quality. like i said ive personnally got right up close to all the wheels and theres hardly any curb rash if any plus the chrome still looks really good. plus this guy use to own a mustang used car lot for only mustangs and at one point owned 3 cobras and 5 Gt's all different years. he has a ton of cobra shit in his basement including saleen bumpers and spoilers and headlights and a ton of stuff like that. i really have no idea how that wheel cracked but trust me there definitly not beat to shit. worst case scenario i buy one other cobra r or maybe 2 17x10s for the rear right? ive been lookin for good cheap wheels for a LONG TIME

No, worst case scenario, the wheel falls apart on the hwy and you die in a fiery crash. Don't be stupid, and buy a solid set of wheels... or do what you want, if your life is possibly worth couple of hundred dollars to you.

unless those wheels are next to perfect, if you buy a replacement wheel, its not gonna match up to the rest of them. you'll (obviously) have one that will look brand new, and the rest that will look somewhat "driven on". a black wheel or even something like with a finish like anthracite, i wouldnt worry about that with, but i dont know how well brand new chrome will match up with something thats been on the road already.

plus, if you have a cracked wheel, like i said before, i wouldnt be surprised if its bent. ive bought wheels used before, you would never know they were bent, until you get them mounted and hit the highway, and at a certain speed they start rattling all over the place.

you can always find a good deal locally. most stocker bullitt wheels which are basically the same as the anthracite bullitt wheels that AmericanMuscle sells, sell all the time for about $300-400 with tires. 95 R wheels are probably the next cheapest ones (that resemble some sort of "aftermarket" wheel) to get with tires. you can always pickup a set of sn95 cobra wheels with tires for under $400 easily.

youre not gonna get something like a Saleen or FR500 set for that cheap, tires included, but those are naturally more expensive wheels anyway.

I bought my 97 Cobras with brand new KDW for 350 for all four. Bought my original R58 Cobra Rs for 300 with still usable KDs. My friend got his 98 Cobra wheels last week in great condition with out any tires for 200. There is no reason why you need to spend money on a set of wheels that is clearly screwed up, when craigslist if flooded with great deals on mustang wheels. Just wait until you find the right set. It's not like you need wheels RIGHT NOW.
