Do you really like your car? If i'm dropping the coin, I'd pick up a 2000 dollar use TKO. I love love love my TKO 500. Picked er up for 1900 with everything, still new.

I say do it but peice together your own setup. When I converted mine I have under 700 in the whole deal. I did put a used clutch in it though. So even if you add a new clutch in (+300 or 400), still 500 cheaper than mps. I think they are crazy for what they want for stuff. They get what they want somehow more power to them, but find a wrecked car yourself and strike a deal. Its very easy and straightforward swap.

I did this mod about 5 or 6 years ago. I was getting kinda bored with my AODE and found Dave's Mustang Parts. He had an auto to 5-speed swap package that included everything and it came with a brand new world class Cobra 5 speed.
For me it really made all the difference in the world. Much more fun.

OK, I swapped my car from an auto to a TKO and it's fairly involved.

you'll need:
Tranny
Tranny cross brace
bell housing,
clutch & flywheel
pedal assembly
wiring harnass,
speedo gear
and have to rewire the park interrupt switch.

not sure if im forgeting anything.

After all was said and done I didn't like my car as a manual (at the power level I'm at) and swapped back to a built auto with the correct stall. like that much better. and that's my preference, you'll have to determine what style you like best.

Why not just put a JMod, and a stall in it and have fun raping face?

+10000, I couldnt tell you how many guys laugh at my car when they see its an auto, but i'd love them to try to even read the rear license plate when they want a taste ;)

I knew my backup would arrive shortly haha. I can't wait to get an automatic in the Bullitt with forced induction..... UHHH it's going to be sex.

I was speaking from my driving style which doesn't involve much, if at all, street let alone track racing. Mine is more of a DD in nice weather. It's tucked away for the winter now...

For what I use my ride for, the aode to 5-speed swap worked perfectly for me.
