Had my trans serviced the other day. Had them do a complete drain, flush and fill. I asked them to make sure the torque converter was drained and flushed, as well as the cooler line's. Before having the service done, the trans would shudder from 1-2nd shift, unless under heavy throttle. It would shudder from 3-4 shifts also. It would also shudder and shift up and down when cruising in highways speeds range. The O/D button would not turn on either. The trans would shift fine, until it warmed up. Then the shudder and irractic shifts would start.
After the service, the trans shifts much better, and only shudders slightly when cruising and increasing speeds. It's almost un-noticeable. The O/D button also operates now. I can actually turn the O/D off now. I had no idea the trans service would improve shifting that much. The service cost me $132, but was much cheaper than a rebuilt trans.
Just thought I would share. I read on the forums here that a trans service would really help the trans shifts and cure a bit of the shudder. I am happy, with the results I have gotten, so I thought I would share my results.
