SI trim or T trim?

Well, I already talked to superchargersonline and they said that my blower does qualify for the ugprade. I pretty much have the choices of an SI trim and a T trim. The SI trim is $380 but it only includes a new volute and a new impellar. The T Trim upgrade includes a everything new, except for the gears. So the T trim you somewhat get a rebuild as well (new volute, new impellar, new bearings, new seals). My goal is to hit 600rwhp through my built auto. Is an SI trim capable of this? Or should I go with the T trim upgrade? Just asking because the SI trim upgrade is $380 and the T trim ugprade is $1150

You only get 50 more CFM from the T-trim and the SI has more boost down low. The SI car will be quicker and arguably faster under 16lbs than a T-trim.

BUT if you already have traction issues the T-trim might be a better option for you so it gives you a bit more lag down low and allows you to feather less. If you have a T56 go with either one, the tall first gear will save you either way.

the thing is i already have an SQ trim. so it would probably cost me an arm and a leg just to straight out buy a T trim, when i get get my current blower upgraded for about $1100. And i bought mine brand new and i know it has less than 8k miles on it...but thanks!

Neither will help you get your 600RWHP goal easily, especially through an AUTO transmission.

From Vortech's lineup, JT Trim at the minimum followed by the YSi.

Paxton Novi2000

Or Procharger F1A.

I was at 390/401 when i had a stock bottom end, stock NON PI Heads, stock PI cams, a PI manifold, an SQ trim, no meth, and at about 12psi....since than ill be adding stage 3 pi heads, stage 3 blower cams, port matched edelbrock victor jr, completely forged internals, 8 rib setup, 10 % od crank pulley, meth, and most likely T trim upwards of 16psi...

With a combo like that, then I dont see too much issue to get you to your goal of 600 rwhp.

What are you doing for a fuel system?

Also add a seperate relay setup for each pump. Dont run them off the stock relay.

I like the Hobb switch, that way you have one pump while cruising around and the other pump kicks on under boost.
Are you going to run the pumps parallel and then Y them into a single feed up to the rails OR Y split the single feed before the rails?

Aeromotive regulator? Sumped tank or sleeper tank?

hmmm, not sure exactly how my guy was planning on Y'ing them to a single line or not. My dad and I are completely building the motor, but my brother owns an LS1 over 500rwhp and this guy is awesome with fuel and motors. He said with what he will do to my car fuel wise I will be more than fine because he does the same thing on LS1's and they are in the 800-1000rwhp range, and fuel is fuel. Forgot about the regulator, but yes definitely a regulator as well. I was going to keep my stock tank....is that a no no?

SQ is not a trim

T will easily make over 600. I made 632 with one through a c4 on pump gas with out spinning it hard.

Is one method perferred over the other? Im also in the middle of setting up twin walbros and a sumped glenns tank to feed a 94gt with a built 331 and T trim. Can't decide which way I want to go.

I would do the Y split to each rail for that kinda setup.

JW, not to threadjack, stock block 331 or ?
