Side exhaust

What choices do us 5.0 guys have for side exhaust? I want new more than used. I plan on just ditching the side skirts, give it more of an 00R feel. Is that style available for us (2 pipes on each side)? Any way to mod a 4.6 exhaust to fit? I'm quite ignorant when it comes to this subject.

the 00r was one pipe with duel tips. The only thing i can think of is spintechmufflers.com has a side exit that is like you describe but not just a bolt on you would need a muffler shop to fit it up.

I know bassani makes a side exit that looks like the 00R's but i cant find a pic of it. i know LMR sells it.

spintech makes a kit that bolts on. i didnt get them with the 00 tips, it was like 100 buxs for em.

any kit that fits a 96-98 cobra (4.6 dohc) should also fit 94-95 GT's/Cobras from the cat back.

I thought the factory 00R was borla... My brother is looking at the borla side exhuast for his '95 GT. CDC makes a side exity exhuast that looks pretty good. borla does. Ford SVO has a kit with skirts and all, but i think somebody mentioned it already, you have to find that used, OR ABCExclusive.com might still sell it.
Or you can buy your own muffer and fab it up yourself... there are a few different brands that have the inlet and outlet on the same side. a side exhuast to me doesn't seem very performance oriented, because of the bends in the piping... even though it was on the 00R, it just seems restrictive to me.

they may not be the cheapest though idk how much side exaust runs as far as price but i know they do carry them so u might wanna check them out for anybody who is interested cause ive kinda wanted to go with side exaust to

was too quiet for me. they did sound good when i got on it tho.

them being quiet and then hitting them on a driveway made me get rid of them.

I have had side exhaust on mine for a while now.
1st-was one I had made up. I had some tips custom made by Stainless Works. I used IMCO racing mufflers on it. I thought the sound was OK, I hear it is raspy though.
2nd-I now have Borla with the SVO skirts. I like it, but it is less aggressive! It has a deeper tone to it though!
I want to add shorty headers and a offroad H-pipe ASAP. Good luck in your search!
