smoked headlights & hid's

hey guys, think i'm gonna get an hid kit from ddm. 35w 8000k. i think the 8k have a blue tint correct? i'm thinking the 8k because of my tinted headlights. should still shine blue i guess? anyone have this with the tinted lights? 9007 bulbs i'm assuming as well...

yeah 8k is wayyy too blue, go with 6k. my headlights and HIDS should be here today.

where are you getting yours from? would the 8k's not be very good on a rainy night?

I have considered it but not with out doing the driving lights as well. I think it almost makes them look like a fog light with next to a hid but in the end it just screams that the headlights were an add-on to me.

The headlights cost me $106.99 w/free shipping from M.M.MOTOR on Ebay

The H.I.D.'s cost me $39.99 with free shipping from Themonstore. A friend has the same ones from the same seller for about year now.

where do you guys mount the ballasts?

If I were going to spend the money on HIDs I would want to show them off so probably right on top of the hood.

yeah the hood sounds good to me too, but in clear zip lock bags, so they don't get wet.
