Holy CRAP!!! I had to register just to set some of you straight.

#1. The temperature rating of your HID bulbs is not the degree at which it burns. They rate the color of the light output of the bulb by comparing it to the corresponding color that carbon emits when it is being burned. So....your 6000K bulb emits the same color that carbon does at 6000° K

#2. The higher up in color temperature you go with bulbs the less visibility you will have.

#3. Ever look at one of those blue signs that some businesses have at night where you can't make out the letters in the words? That's caused by glare....that same glare will be coming out of your smurf headlights if you go above 6000k. Glare effects other drivers greatly in a negative way. You can always spot a smurfmobile out of a crowd.

#4. The color you see that you are mistaking for "blue bulbs" is a prism effect caused by the lenses on the projectors of oem headlights. Most lenses have concentric rings on them so that light is dispersed evenly. This is called the Fresnel effect. The type of lens is a fresnel lens. You are seeing the light being bent like a prism when the light goes through one of the rings and hits your eyes.

#5. If your going to do HIDs retrofit your headlights with some OEM projectors like TSX projectors...very common kind to use. You can even put some Bi-xenons in........

There's too much to go through when its all been said before.

If you need HID components or a retrofit a very reputable company is www.retro-solutions.com

I've got no agenda with the company...I've just had very good luck with them.

then go for any lower temp HIDs, not more than 4000 kelvin.. temps like 6500 kelvin are more blue - the actual european cars have them.. but if you dont want that look but good brightness at night, go with maximum 4000 kelvin...

4300k is supposed to be the absolute brightest you can get. Almost nothing other than pure white.

4300 is not almost pure white. 4300K is the most commonly used temp rating because it most closely resembles daylight - which has yellow in it. It is not necessarily the brightest, but it is the best light to be used for the human eye. Yes, there is only one human eye :p

I don't know of any European cars that take 6000K or 6500K bulbs....there may be some but it is not common....as explained in my previous post, that color you see comes from the projector lens.

As far as European cars and reliability goes.......there's a reason why US automakers are hurting and its not because foreign cars aren't as reliable......

If guys would take a set of good OEM projectors and retrofit them into your headlight housings you could have really good light output,

The euro cars are unreliable and expensive to fix, not the foriegn cars, it makes me sad but jappenesse cars are the most reliable by a pretty good margin if you ask me
