It amazes me how many of the current and former members have taken this "hobby" and turned it into a money generating business in some way or another. A few guys flip cars or parts. A few shops were created and even custom parts.

I know the credit card companies love us.

Yep. A guy near me who is a forum member buys SN95s (Cobras, primarily) and parts them out quick. He has a lot of regular customers. For him it is a side job. If I had the time and space, I would love to do it myself, but 1) not enough time, 2) not enough space, and 3) no way could I compete with this guy anyway. There is a 95 V6 carwith a bad trans for $500 OBO I was tempted to nab and part out, but reality (and the wife) got in the way...

I flipped one Cobra and parted two while doing my build. It was a lot of fun to do on the side. I enjoy it so it didn't feel like work but I could never be full speed and rely on it solely.

I put a deposit on a 99 v6 yesterday for $600. blown headgasket though. Im hoping between it and my 99GT i can sell enough stuff between the two of them to pay for the v6 and the 2 fenders and paint it needs.

I know who you're talking about, he's always got some good stuff and is great to deal with (bought my saleen wing off him). I think he invests some serious time in scooping up salvage cars with quality parts. Wish I had he patience to do the same
