I understand that SN designated "sport" and the N was for "North American market" and '95 designated the year. So I have an SN95...was there an SN94 Sn96 etc.
The SN 95. Is the build. Code for the 94-04. But the aftermarket works wanted to separate out the 99-04. So the name new edge Caught on. Each build series has a code. 05-14 are S197 the current series are S 550.
...it’s basically a model number. With BMW, they were all Es. Didn’t matter market or country of manufacture. But they ran out of two digit numbers and now have F30s and so on.
