I can understand that, the new chargers are about 2.5tons, but like you I'm not sure of the actual stats, good job boosting the snive rep

I ran up on one where I go to school one week in my Mustang.

He stomped my 4.10 ass. I dunno what he had done to it but it sounded good even though I could barely hear it over my loud, slow POS. We didn't go too far, but he was pulling something fierce on me and I know my car didn't have much else to give.

I saw one of those on the way home yesterday, and I saw a new SS Camaro. Both going the other way of course.

I really want to pound one of those new RT Chargers and the new Camaro's. Maybe I'll see them at the track this year but Id race one off the track too just b/c I dont see them that often

Charter R/T is a 5.7 Hemi paired with a "nag" (mercedes) transmission, as stated most (older) have 345 hp, some of the news i think have a few extra. The SRT toys are 6.1 with the same trans and are rated 425 hp. These are fairly heavy cars and do weigh in between 35-4k so yea they take a few seconds to get going.

Challengers are the same, weigh slightly less because of design. The SRT8's are rated to run 13.6ish (track/driver/options/tire) so ill spank alot of ppl here but a good number of us should undress pretty handidly on a track, street is different with ESP and traction they just matt it and with torque management they can go all out and neverl ook back haha

Some of them (Chargers) come with AWD from the SRT8 Jeep, right? I raced one SRT8 jeep, once with my car (smoked me) and once on my Triumph sportbike (Smoked him), both times from a dig.

No the only SRT vehicle with awd is the Jeep. SRT Charter, Challenger Magnum all use the same drivetrain options.

Ah, okay. The SRT8 Jeep's are wicked, btw..... at least off the line. Of course, I cant hook up off the line either, silly road race suspension....

Got behind a challenger today, damn those cars are frigging big. I was behind him at the light and from where I was sitting in mine I couldnt even see over the back end of that beast. I was hoping he was heading towards the interstate like I was but he was not. Perhaps next time.

they are not that fast stock esp the older 5.7 liter hemi models come with 340-345hp and thats crank hp with a automatic hp robbing tranny and they weigh a ton some are up in the 4,000lb curb weight, newer ones I belive are 350-376hp and you can now get a manual option in new 1's the 1st years of challengers and charger rt's only came in auto, the old 1's seem to rund mid to low 14's some high 13's stock, the newer faster 1's with auto seem to be mid to high 13's and the manuals seem to run mid 13's, the srt8's come with a 425hp 6.1 liter hemi auto or manual for new and old 1's, they seem to run mid to low 13's bone stock. so he should of beat you either way a stock or slight bolt on 94-95 gt is only a 14-15 sec car,he should of had you, but being it was an auto from a roll auto vs manual if your a good drive might explain it. good race, I wanna run a srt8 :headbang:
