Nope, OBDII cars only as far as i know. Diablo makes a switch, but hand held tuners like mine are few and far between for a OBD I car (5.0s). Check em out and see though. You have to go full PMS/EMS system for full functional tuning abilitys on a OBD I car
i dont even know what you just said .... :help2: im glad im going carbed soon :hammer:
OBD I.. 5.0 cars.. computer style
OBD II modular 4.6 computer style..
both are totally different. Computers are accepting in II, and can be tuned easily with a handheld device like mine, or a SCT xcal 2. The OBD I computers don't have the ability to be tuned by a hand held. I don't think it uses the "Tune" file setup. You have a single tune saved onto 4.6 cars computers. It can be taken out, modified, or replaced. The 5.0 cars dont have that luxury.. most of that is literally burned and hardwired into the computers. Basically leaving you where you need a PMS/EMS system that you can sit on a laptop with and tune with a program, while the puters pluged up to your car, or you can get a chip put in, to override and fake the computer out, You have to get this tuned at a dyno shop.
