Kinda wrecked the plans on a lasotaracing tune and all, but when its free, its free :dunno: Put the Factory HP tune in it.. got rid of the stupid OBD II light, and it runs better now. Haven't put the performance tune in yet though, I have a full tank of 87 ??? and.. that kinda sucks, gotta wait till the weekend to put in 93 lol We'll see how she does though, car runs real strong for what it is.

sell it and get an Xcal2.

i know i know, but i think if there wasn't anything negative to say about it, you wouldn't have responded to the thread :p

It holds me over, and it made a difference, no doubt. I'm happy i took care of the light, and I finally have some sort of tuning ability.

Nope, OBDII cars only as far as i know. Diablo makes a switch, but hand held tuners like mine are few and far between for a OBD I car (5.0s). Check em out and see though. You have to go full PMS/EMS system for full functional tuning abilitys on a OBD I car

OBD I.. 5.0 cars.. computer style
OBD II modular 4.6 computer style..

both are totally different. Computers are accepting in II, and can be tuned easily with a handheld device like mine, or a SCT xcal 2. The OBD I computers don't have the ability to be tuned by a hand held. I don't think it uses the "Tune" file setup. You have a single tune saved onto 4.6 cars computers. It can be taken out, modified, or replaced. The 5.0 cars dont have that luxury.. most of that is literally burned and hardwired into the computers. Basically leaving you where you need a PMS/EMS system that you can sit on a laptop with and tune with a program, while the puters pluged up to your car, or you can get a chip put in, to override and fake the computer out, You have to get this tuned at a dyno shop.

haha all that is the reason i hate technology haha ... :hammer: having to pay 500 for a tune on something i should be able to do myself....i cant want to be done building my engine!!! goodbye electronics!!!

yeah the comps have been nothing but a headache especially the 94-95 5.0's you cant do anything to them...underdrive pullies can mess them up what a pain....you need a tune for everything...haha
