THIS IS NOT A CLASSIFIED AD DON'T POST IN IT LIKE IT IS, hurp derp

After my long and trivial issues with the motor. I got to drive the car finally. As I was rolling through my first mile, my brakes locked up, and my engine has a bad vibration. Wrong flywheel. Not to mention a plethora of other problems. It's all essentially made me hate the car, or severely dislike it would be the better word. So I'm going to trade it off for a 03/04 or keep the drivetrain and stuff it in a 67 fastback (if I can find one to trade for). It's sad in a way, but I really don't feel bad. I just really don't like the car anymore. I haven't gotten a shred of enjoyment out of it yet, and I have 15k+ in it. Pretty soon, i'll have more in it then it'll ever be worth. Not a very good investment. Discuss. I'm not going to change my mind (honestly), it's just that fooking annoying.

I hate to see you give up on it. But if that is what you want to do, it is your choice. But I don't see why you would want to keep the drive train, just sell it all and be done with it.

I really really really like my TKO 500 lol. It's a badass trans matt. Mine shifts like butter, but feels solid under accelleration. I hate to see it go, simply because it was supposed to be that father/son project. It just turned into a disasted after another, and I can't seem to make any headway. Everything I touch catches on fire on it. I've built quite a few cars before this one, that I see still drive around town. Why this one falls apart when I sneeze is beyond me

This car is 41 years old. You are going to run into issues like this. Take a brake from it for a couple weeks, then get back on it. It will be well worth all your efforts in the end.

Remember I started my 1966 Coup rebuild in 1987. These things take time and money. Patiants is your friend.

It's not so much that I don't have patience. It's when I do it over again, and it breaks, AGAIN for the 3rd time. I don't have the money to fix it right now. I'm 20 years old, worrying about a car that has 75% of my total income in it from last year. I shouldn't be stressed out over it. I just can't win on it.

Not having money is just an excuse. Now if you tell me that I don't have any money and I need to sell my car, that is a different story.

My car sat basically from 1994 until 2008 when I was able financially to start working on it again.

You need to ask yourself this. Will I ever get another oppertunity to buy a 1969 Fastback? The car is paid for, does it cost me anything to let it sit for a while? Will I regret selling this car in a couple years?

If you can honestly answer yes to those questions, then by all means sell it.

Well honestly my perspective in regards to doing something with it is, unless someone brings enough cash that I want to sell it, or a car that I really want more, I'm not going to give it away. Its paid for, paid off.

You have just answered your own question. You don't really want to sell it, but everything has a price. If it is right......goodbye.

No doubt. I'm more disappointed then anything. Really makes me sad. Just so unhappy with the car and the way it came together. The greatest thing about the fooking thing is the headers and transmission. Otherwise I don't like my interior, motor, or body.

Adversity makes it so much more worth it in the end. There is nothing that you have not done that cannot be redone, and redone, and redone, until you are satisfied. If you start thinking about terms like "worth it" or what kind of $$$ you have into it, you need to get a new hobby, like paper air planes.

sell it and get an 03/04 like you said. Get a project car when you have the patience and extra $$ to do so.

Thanks.. LOL..

I know. The amount of people that I hear "man you know what this things worth" before they even say anything about the car or me. It's hard not to make it about the money. I love the car, enjoy the hobby. Been doing it over half my life now. It's just hard to keep going with something your not confident in
