So the 5.0 vs 4.6 lol

Wellmy good buddy has a 94 Gt with a cold air and some exhaust and a 5 speed.. Mine is a 98 GT 4.6 AUTO with Cold air, O/R X, SLP mufflers and 4.30 gears.. He ran a 14.4 @ 94 and I ran a 14.4 @ 95... I am sure I could have got him better but mine always hits the rev limiter during the 1-2 shift... Need less to say I was agged :angry4:

put some 4.30s on the 5.0, did the 5.0 even have gears and barely lost.

Those 4.30's helped you a lot. Put some gears in the 5.0 and go again. I think it will be a different outcome. He most likely has a 2.73 or possibly the 3.08 Option.

He has 2.73's but just got some 4.10's today.. I am sure he will get me but If I can get the rev limiter issue fixed he wont get me that bad.

i want a tune this summer... they are supposed to open up the 4.6 quite a bit...

i get a base dyno run on 4-4-09 ill obviously keep you guys posted...

See that's my problem even with a Good tire when i lay into it i will spin and i have the 3.08 option for the gears.
i have Dunlop Direzza 101. There a damn good tire too. Only lasted about 20,000 though

I think with gears he's gonna have you pretty good if it's already that close with the stock POS gear, assuming he can hook it up.
