Well I knew when i got this car that I shouldn't be driving but like an idiot i've already put 1500 miles on it in about 2-3 weeks of ownership :laughing4:

The car has been good except for the little issues that NEED to be sorted out. So I've decided it's time to park it. It's gonna be parked for the next few weeks until all my parts are collected. ccasion14:

The noises have been getting a little outrageous so its about time this thing gets a little rest.

I will be updating this thread as time goes by and more parts are collected

So here is my current setup and issues.

- Hood is unpainted, front bumper is flaking like crazy and i don't like the S281 wing. Have a 351 wing waiting to be painted.
- 95R rims in the rear and 98 Cobra rims in the front :laughing4:
- Motorsport SVO GT40 upper/lower intake (Leaks oil from front and rear of lower intake) With stock throttle body
- Stock E7 heads (Burns oil)
- Stock cam (Sounds weak and does nothing for low end torque :laughing5: )
- Stock headers (exhaust leak), Stock h-pipe (4 cats! BLAH!) Flowmsater 2.5" catback ( :thumbsup: ) with ugly tips ( :BangHead: )
- Stock gears and diff (Car feels like a V6 under 2500 rpm and it's a "1 Legged Beast")
- Stock trans with a hurst shifter (Hate it!! Hate it!! HATE IT!!)
- Unkown Clutch (TOB is screeching like a dying bird, I think the pilot bearing is bad? Could also be a u-join on D/S)
- A/C compressor is making this OUTRAGEOUS noise at times lol
- Brakes are done

Here is my parts list and list of solutions to be performed over the next few weeks.

*Paint hood, repaint front bumper and get my S351 wing painted - My brother is taking care of this :icon_rr:
*18" Saleen replicas - 18x9 Front, 18x10 rear - Collecting for this
*Saleen S351 Upper intake with foxbody T/B conversion with ported 302 lower intake - Check!
*TFS twisted wedge heads, non o-ringed, 1.6 rockers. - Collecting for this
*TFS Stage 1 Cam - Collecting for this
*Longtube headers, Off Road H-pipe with the same catback but nicer tips (My brother owes me a pair of tips) - Coming in the mail
*3.73 Gears and a working diff - Check!
*Stock trans with Tri-ax shifter (good **** :thumbsup: ) - Collecting for this
*Spec Stg 2 clutch (New TOB and pilot bearing and FRPP Aluminum driveshaft) - Collecting for this
*Trip to junkyard and pickup good a/c compressor :thumbsup: - Check!! :tongue3:
*Full Cobra brake conversion - Collecting for this too

Total expenses... Not enough IMO!! :headbang:

These are my realistic goals.. I really don't want to get into the non-realistic stuff or the list will not end!! lol

saleen 351 intake? how are you going to put that on a 302? i assume your only using the upper then.

Correct. Gonna be using a ported 302 lower, sorry should've stated that in the OP. I just fixed the post now.

It should be interesting as I'm an extremely impatient person when it comes to gathering parts.

Also, this would be my first "REAL" H/C/I car (Had a 5.0 with cobra upper/lower, gt40 cast irons and e-cam - Kind of a weak setup) so if you guys have any advice, comments or opinions on my set up please let me know!!

I know it's all based on combination and I want to make sure I got the right one ccasion14:

And I also think your rear bumper could use some lettering to break it up. just my opinion.

Gonna start painting stuff either by mid June or in August. If I paint anything mid June it's gonna be the hood, front bumper and S351 wing. If I don't, then in August I'm gonna repaint the entire car Sonic Blue.

I'd have to agree about the lettering but i'm really big on trying to keep a car authentic as possible, even though the car isn't a real Saleen I'd like to keep the styling as close to an authentic one as much as possible.

Going to be doing little things to keep it different like white powdercoated 99-04 Saleens, 99-04 Saleen C-pillars, 99-04 Saleen door lettering and windshield lettering (they spread out wider than 94-98 lettering).

Those are just a few things that will seperate it from an authentic one, yet will only be noticeable by true Saleen freaks :thumbsup:

lol thanks but i have a slight problem, I like to collect everything and its mamma then install everything one shot!
