I wasn't talking about reliability issues or problems when modding, I was talking about how the cars look, the interiors etc. And I'll agree, our Stangs feel quite cheap in some areas.

This is all i want to do appearance wise to my car. RX8 wheels. Add a slight drop maybe 3/4" all the way around. and Tint. The car just flows better with the RX8 wheels then the stockers. I will say mine doesn't feel cheap or look cheap by any means on the inside.

Unfortunaltely, I'll have to pay close to 03/04 cobra price to get into one with under 70K miles.

HAHA ok you have fun replacing parts on it when it breaks :) Both my cousin and my old roomie had a GTI VR6 and a GTI 1.8T and said they will never own another VW. Also a Mech said he hates working on them also. i also remember the few times i worked on them and i hated them. I only paid 15,878 for my car with only 49k on it. It also has AWD :) the same as the R32. They make look good but you think the Mustang Costs you money look at the cost for the parts of that.

Cost to maintain is not the issue for getting rid of the stang...it's the frequency and multiple times the same parts fail over and over again. Yes the parts are more expensive to replace, but I have done my research and know the very little known problems on the R32. Comapring a 1.8T>VR6 GTI>R32 is like comparing focus>V6 Mustang> 4V Cobra.....none of the engines share any common parts/displacement/engineering or layout. I know how much it's going to cost me when the "little" things break and its actually a common misconception, it's not that expensive, dealer trips is another story. I have talked to Mechs that hate working on Mustangs, what does that have to do with anything? The R32 is a very reliable car and the maintenance will be equal to the cost of me replacing all the crap that has broken 3-4 times on the stang. 16K is about what I would be spending for this car...very close to Termi territory in my neck of the woods.

and you will be replacing it 3-4 times on the R32 i am talking with my friend on the issue right now about it. So your saying the R32 doesn't come with a VR6. I'm telling you right now good luck you will want to get rid of it 6months to a year later b/c of the Mait issues. For example having to replace coils 5-6 times on the GTI which is the same coil they use in the R32. Just a month ago your talking about getting a house and not having enough money to hardly pay this and now your talking about taking a loan out to buy a car. The reason my friend got rid of his GTI VR6 was b/c of Mait Issues. He poured soooooooo much money into it, but hey you live and learn and when you get one and it breaks i'm just going to say TOLD YA SO

You will be better off just getting a Accord or something you can use as a Daily and will be dependable.

I have a buddy with an R32, looks just like the one you posted, same color and everything. Its for sale, I think he's only asking like 12k for it. Probably around 80k miles on it. Car has new HID's and is slammed.

Personally I don't like them either. I do think the way the seats move up so you can get in the back is genius, i wish our cars did that.

No I never said the R32 didnt have a VR6, but it has a 3.2 liter VR6 unlike the GTI which is what? 2.8? Its a different motor all together. I'm not buying a house with the crazy girl, I thought I said that lol. The coil packs had a recal and the problem has been adressed. What other maintenance problems have you heard about? Becasue I have been researching the car non-stop and have not come to any conclusion that the R32 is unreliable like the gti/1.8t. My brother had a Passat with the 2.8 VR6 and that was a money pit in every respect of the word, but it also had over 200k miles on it. I'm not trying to get into a pissing match with you about my choice of a car, saying that I thought the R32 was cooler than the Mazdaspeed wasnt a crack at you(I like them and they have some of the same qualities as my choice), but I want a hatch and some german engineering, but I have done my research and also know quite a few people that have owned or still own this car and no one complains about the maintenance. The R32 is actually over-engineered to the point where the drivetrain, engine and chasis were designed to support double the power than the engine produces. My point is that it's a stout car, built like a tank and can take daily driving abuse up the arse. My Mustang or any of the 3 I have owned, have not been able to prove itself worthy of that task.

12v vs 24v and just enlarged. From speaking with my friend he said there is less electrical issues on the 24v but more engine problems. I guess have it. I'm not cluttering up his thread but he says 100% and everyone i know that owned a VW they would not own another!

TL Type S's are cool...but I went with a regular TL.

I went for a classy car, the type S's weren't "classy" looking IMO

Those Acura's are pretty sharp...sorry just never been a fan of the Mazada'speed' stuff.

I still say grab a used '11 GT lol. Who cares if 'everyone' has one (like everyone doesnt already have SRT-4's, TL's, and Speed6's??? -_- )
Actually not very many people have the Speed6. I guess you didn't read my post. There have only been a Reported 7000 made it to the states they were shipped over Via Boat From Hiroshima, Japan.

I can name 4 kids around here who have Speed6's so I guess its relative to where you are. At the same time the little group I hang out with has 4 Termis lol.

Thats neato about the speed 6's being rare. For some reason now-aday's companies like to overproduce special edition cars ha.
