Ok so on my 03 mustang gt the intake is leaking below the thermostat housing. Is it worth it to go with the ford racing intake or dose some one make an aluminum direct fit intake. or is there a way to fix or at least do a temp patch till I have the time to fix it right.
secondly how do you get the PCV valve out?

Thanks. I have the Intake with the Aluminum crossover on my car now. Apparently they still fail after a while. It would be nice if I could just replace the Gasket under the thermostat housing. But no this is ford they make every thing hard

You have to twist it to get it back in. Depending on the covers (R/W) it should be on the passenger side. as long as there is no electrical connection then you have a NON heated pcv and it should just pull out, some do twist depending if it has been replaced.

ok my car has no pCV Valve. there is just a fitting the hose goes on. next figured out my valve cover gasket is leaking oil in to #7 spark plug hole. don't know how but it is. all other holes are dry. I just cant believe ford would not make that part of the intake fixable. What do you guys recommend as a replacement ford racing, dorman ect. do not have alot of cash( long story)

FRPP gaskets ftw, buy the FElpro valvecover gasket kit and get the new bushings for the valve cover bolts and toss the valve cover gaskets in the trash and use fords.

man I have seen this numerous time and have fixed every one. Basically you will have to take the intake off and remove the 3 bolts on each side of the aluminum cross-over and remove it. Look at the O-rings and you will see a ton of corrosion. you will need to remove the orings and clean them as well as the grooves in the intake. When putting back together, reinstall the
clean O-rings and just for insurance reasons put a little rtv high temp sealant on the O-rings. Bolt it back together and reinstall the intake.

Like I said, I have fixed everyone that I have had leaking. It just take a little patience. Good Luck!
