i would agree with the distributor issue. I would think if it was a fuel issue that it would happen all the time, not as the car
warmed up. Electrical components (coils, distributors etc...) fail most often when warmed up, and wet. The Distributor on my
beater car started going out, after running for about 10 mins, replaced that and no issues.

Check the dizzy... also, check the o2 sensors, and agree on replacing the fuel filter, even if it's not the problem.

My vote is for the fuel filter. Had too many problems with my car when the filter would get some miles on it. Gas stations are pretty pitiful about keeping their tanks clean and properly filtering the gas. I still remember the last time I dropped the tank to swap the fuel pump and seen all of the trash floating around in the tank along with what was stuck on the pump sock. No other way for it to get in there besides gas stations.

So it only runs like crap while under a load? Has it shut off on you or just no power? If it doesn't shut off on you I would say the PIP is fine, when a PIP is going bad it will shut off during idle/load.

My PIP is going bad. But i would say that since its only when the car is warm that its a sensor r something electrical. If it was fuel related it would be doing it at all times. Sometimes with K&N filters that oil gets put on too much and dings up the MAF. Clean it anyways to be safe.

If I can drive to summerville from west ashley on a bad distributor thats not only going out but siezing up, I would figure his pip is going bad. My car idled fine but as soon as you increased rpm's it was like 2-3 dead cylinders. Random misfires, things like that. Picked up a new reman cardone from auto supply on sam ritt when I worked in mt. p and it worked great.
